'Students who do a lot of extensive reading in English seem to make substantial progress. It's great for taking in new vocabulary, noticing grammatical structures and for "getting the feel" of the language. Yet, sadly, many students' only experience of reading in English is short coursebook texts' (Jim Scrivener)

In this page you will find links to interesting sites on reading (reading groups, literary reviews, interviews with the authors of the books assigned for this academic year, audio-recordings of some of the books, etc). Hope you find it useful!
“You can’t make someone read. Just as you can’t make them fall in love, or dream …” (D. Pennac) Pennac is a French writer who wrote an  essay with a 10-point manifesto: the 10 rights that should be granted to all readers. The first is “the right not to read”. The second is “the right to skip”. The other eight are equally wise and liberating.”
